<<It matters not how many fish are in the sea … if you don’t have any bait on your hook.>>
Timmi Seifert lives in Downtown Berlin and didn’t leave his hometown for longer than two years until now. Prior to joining muenzwerk19.com he co-founded a company for Mobile Music Marketing and now dedicated his life to creative digital science. He lives in Berlin and is usually traveling the world with his laptop looking for creative, free-minded people. If he is not in a city near you, he probably takes care of his master studies in Digital Communications at Universität der Künste (UdK) in Berlin or of his job as a founder and Marketing Executive for Muenzwerk19.
Upcoming visits: New York (12/08) and Italy or Switzerland (12/08).
(Short) Personal Statement
My father works as an architect. His work affected me in a way that like him I loved photography and painting. My father took me to art exhibitions and I learned to reflect about art issues. This confrontation with art helps me today in judging different visual aspects of communication and advertising.
Photography is still one of my key interests and visiting the museums of Berlin with their variety is an important part of my life. My fascination with cultural and social developments as well as cross cultural communication in this dynamically developing world led me to the decision to study Communications at the Design Academy in Berlin, an institution with a very hands-on approach to teaching and learning.
The program deals with verbal and visual communication management, marketing, advertising language, sociology, political sciences as well as advertisement and campaign planning.
The education I receive was indeed quite practical and focussed on pushing products and service providers in markets and convincing target groups of world changing USP’s. I enjoy this type of work and the more personal atmosphere within the Academy and throughout the Muenzwerk19-projects we are working on at the moment. Although I feel satisfied for the moment, it is still my goal to expand my horizon, especially from a marketing point of view. I love the hands-on approach, the challenge within the industry´s time management, the necessary speed and the varying demands on the people working in this field.
At the moment I am looking forward to launching my own shirt brand in December 2008 with the help of Frederik Frede from nomoresleep.net. It will be called GODSPEED!
